Wycombe Abbey are encouraging all school-aged children to get involved with maths problem-solving over the Christmas period.

The school has launched Conundrum – an online maths quiz aimed at children worldwide.

It has been developed by the school's maths department who have previously run monthly puzzle competitions for pupils which proved very popular.

To encourage more participants, a new website platform for the competitions has been built thanks to a donation from a former parent.

During the Christmas period, a new maths problem is being released every day between 1st December and Christmas Eve.

The competition is open to all school-age pupils who have until 6th January to solve the challenges.

Further details about the initiative can be found via the school's website: https://www.wycombeabbey.com/wycombe-abbey-christmas-conundrum/

Wycombe Abbey is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 11 to 18. The school was founded in 1896, on the day of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Within three years, it had grown from 40 to 210 pupils. Wycombe Abbey's aims were established by its founder, Dame Frances Dove, and remain the same today: the pursuit of academic excellence, the development of each individual's talents in creative, physical and social skills, and the encouragement of faith in God and service to other people, all in a happy, fulfilling and caring community.
