St Peter's pupils receive award of Arkwright Scholar

Two pupils at St Peter's York have received the prestigious award of Arkwright Scholar. The engineering scholarships aim to identify, inspire and nurture future leaders in Engineering.

Will and Scarlett, pupils at St Peter's School York, have each received the prestigious award of Arkwright Scholar.

Arkwright Engineering Scholarships aim to identify, inspire and nurture future leaders in Engineering.

The selection process seeks to find the highest calibre pupils who have a strong academic and practical ability in technical subjects.

Scholars benefit from a two-year Arkwright Engineering Scholarship which is widely respected by academia and industry.

As well as this award, Scarlett has also been shortlisted in the Top 5 of this year's Vodafone Innovator's Project Competition.

Her prize is a Fast Track Pass for their apprenticeship program with a £21.5k salary and her university fees paid to study an Electromechanical/Software/Network or Cyber Security Engineering degree of her choice.
