St George's Ascot has achieved Google for Education Reference School status, putting the school into a prestigious group of institutions across the world.

As a result, St George's will be involved in providing advice to other schools on how to best use new technology in the classroom, as well as having early access to new technology and industry leaders in learning innovation.

Teaching staff at the school are continuing to innovate, with each department developing a TIEPs – Teacher Innovation Exploration Plan – with the aim of finding new ways of using technology to increase efficiency.

Pupils and staff have been using Google for Education tools since April 2018, which fortuitously helped the school during remote schooling throughout the pandemic.

Head of Learning Innovation Elodie Pierre described the school's work as 'building a group of Google digital leaders' and they were "...looking forward to another year of Edtech ahead of us."

The school is committed to pushing the boundaries of learning by embracing innovation and technology.

The work invested over the past four years has paid dividends and – combined with traditional teaching methods – provides a stimulating mode of teaching and learning for pupils at the Berkshire school.
