Ryde School welcomes Festival authors

Over 250 children from local schools were able to listen to four award-winning authors when Ryde School hosted the Isle of Wight Literary Festival Schools' Programme 2022 recently.

Ryde School hosted the Isle of Wight Literary Festival Schools' Programme 2022 recently and invited four award-winning authors to speak with local pupils.

Pupils from Reception through to Year 10 were entertained and captivated by the authors.

Nicholas Allan is the author/illustrator of bestselling picture books including The Queen's Knickers; Joe Craig is known for his bestselling Jimmy Coates books; Neal Layton is an award-winning author and illustrator who has worked with authors such Cressida Cowell, Michael Rosen and John Hegley; and award-winning science writer, Isabel Thomas, is an author of more than 200 books for young audiences.

Over 250 children attended the event from local primary schools, senior schools and Ryde School.
