New Headmaster joins St Francis School

David Lee has joined St Francis School in Pewsey as the school's new Headmaster. He was Deputy Head of Garden International School in Malaysia. He joins following the retirement of David Sibson after 10 years at the helm of the Wiltshire prep school.

David Lee has become the new Headmaster of St Francis School, Pewsey, following the retirement of David Sibson after 10 years at the helm.

David Lee joins St Francis from one of the most successful British international schools in Asia, Garden International School in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he was a Deputy Head.

David holds a breadth and depth of experience, across 19 years in both state and independent schools within the UK as well as overseas, which was unique within the large field of candidates.

David said: “I am delighted to be appointed as the next Head of St Francis and it is a privilege to be joining a school with such a wonderful sense of community.

"I very much look forward to returning to an area my family calls ‘home’ and getting to know everyone in the St Francis family over the coming months.

"I will endeavour to build upon the considerable achievements of David Sibson and to further the School as a place that offers truly personalised care and education which supports each child to be their very best."

David Lee grew up in Cornwall, represented his county in athletics and read Education at the University of the West of England, Bristol. He began teaching in Wiltshire before later completing an MA in Education at Bath Spa University.

During his career he has undertaken a variety of teaching and leadership roles including working at the British School, Jakarta and as the Deputy Head of Prep at Stonar School.
