Pupil's at Dauntsey's staged their annual December musical, with a lively and engaging performance of Guys and Dolls.

The many months of hard work and preparation came together at the end of term when the cast and crew performed a magnificent four-night run of the hit musical to a packed theatre.

The cast, made up of Fifth and Sixth Form pupils, had been preparing and rehearsing since auditions took place at the end of last Summer Term.

It was a resounding success, with audience members of all ages enjoying the performance.

Chris Walker, Director of Drama, said: "The dedication and commitment shown by all those involved in the musical was fantastic – when watching the final performances, it is easy to forget that these are pupils who will have been sitting in lessons that morning and even playing out on a sports pitch that very afternoon.

"It is an enormous ask to be involved in a school production, and all the cast, crew and musicians delivered brilliantly on their commitment.

"Being involved in a school production is a fantastic experience for pupils – they learn a huge amount about themselves in a short period of time, challenging and stretching themselves, whilst also developing new and often unexpected friendships.

"It is an experience I know that none of them will forget."
