Independent Schools in London

There is a huge choice of private schools across London, from early years pre-prep and prep through to senior schools, including some with boarding. The London market for schools is often seen as very competitive, especially when it comes to senior school entry, as places at many of the leading London senior schools are highly sought-after.

For some parents, London offers the right choice for the prep school years, followed by choices outside of the capital for senior school at 11 or 13. Many senior boarding schools in the home counties have strong links with London, offering weekly bus services for pupils.

We have divided our selection of schools into six areas of London: from East through to North and North West, and then South East, South West and finally, West London. There are excellent choices for all families in each area. Some of our featured schools are located outside of the capital but offer boarding places for pupils from London.
