Bolton School
Bolton School is an independent day school for boys and girls from nursery through to 18. The school occupies a 32 acre campus, a mile from the centre of Bolton.
Head of the Foundation Philip Britton says the school's aim 'is for every girl and boy to become the best that they can be.'
'Academic rigour is important to us but so too is character development, which we encourage through delivering a wide range of activities and experiences, including engagement in and with our local community, as well as through outstanding pastoral care.'
'An integral part of our mission is to widen access to our outstanding education and to offer genuine social mobility to young people across the region.' One in five of the school's senior pupils receives bursary support, with half of these children benefiting from full fee remission.
When reviewing details about a particular school, prospective parents should always ensure they have looked at the governance details, reviewed recent inspections and read about the Head's vision for the school.
