Why choose Beechwood Park?

The school has a strong co-curricular programme in sport, music, drama, art and design as well as Forest School. The school is fortunate to occupy a rural setting within parkland and woodland with outdoor learning opportunities in abundance.

Headmaster Christian Pritchard says: 'Beechwood Park children are remarkable individuals. They are happy, caring and confident learners that are allowed to make mistakes, without fear of failure. Our children are genuinely at the 'heart of everything we do' as we develop: 21st century learners and principled citizens with a caring sense of adventure.'

'In addition to this, it is my belief that every child has a talent or 'sparkle' that makes them who they are. At Beechwood Park, we harness and develop that talent, alongside a 'can do' attitude and a strong work ethic, to ensure that, at the end of their Beechwood Park journey, your child has the skills, ability and attitude to be successful in their exciting future.'

What makes Beechwood Park different?

Attain asked the school, what makes Beechwood Park different – and why should parents consider it?

Beechwood Park is an exciting co-educational flexi-boarding prep school for children aged 3 to 13. We are located on the outskirts of the village of Markyate, six miles west of Harpenden, Hertfordshire, very close to the border with Bedfordshire. Despite being just half an hour from London by direct train and in close proximity to the M1, St Albans, and Berkhamsted, the school is set within an impressive 60 acres of parkland and woodland, offering a location that truly embodies 'the best of both worlds.'

The highly experienced team of staff, excellent facilities, resources, and opportunities that the school provides make Beechwood Park an extremely exciting and 'magical' place to learn.
