Davenies mission is to 'Engage, Inspire and Challenge' each boy at the school. The school aims to deliver 'a broad, high quality, aspirational education, focusing on the whole person and based on huge variety and all-round excellence'.

Headmaster Alastair Thomas says: 'The strength of Davenies is, and always will be, that we focus on the character and the learning attributes of the boys: their enthusiasm, curiosity, courage, perseverance and their ability to reflect. We have a Davenies Code that fosters kindness, helpfulness, politeness, honesty and respectfulness.'
