- The school welcomes approximately 1000 pupils with boys and girls aged from 4 to 18 years.
- Alleyn's School is located at Dulwich in South East London.
The school describes itself as a 'progressive, kind and happy learning community with a unique buzz, dedicated to playing a positive role in the world around us and to widening access through our transformational bursary scheme.'
Head Jane Lunnon says: 'When children are happy, of course, they do well. And we are very proud of the truly outstanding exam results which our pupils achieve. But rather like the original Renaissance scholars, we see exam results as a by-product of the education we offer, not the central goal.'
'Instead, we seek to open the hearts and minds of our pupils. We encourage them to approach the acquisition of knowledge as a great adventure; to be generous and reflective in their study and to recognise that learning doesn't stop when you leave the classroom, or even, when you leave the School.'
