About the school
Our goal is to prepare the children to engage effectively with the dynamic world unfolding around them, equipping them with the skills and confidence to grasp their opportunities, and the knowledge and sensitivity to realise their responsibilities.
Strong foundations are laid in literacy and numeracy, and a broad curriculum, including investigative science and design and technology, encourages a wide-ranging mindset. IT is there to be used whenever it is needed. Languages feature prominently. The arts foster creativity and build learning power, and sport is provided to develop fitness, decision-making, and teamwork. We place great emphasis on pastoral care, seeking to identify, nurture and celebrate each child’s gifts and talents within a caring community based on Christian values. We develop an active partnership with parents, recognising that only with a full understanding of your son’s or daughter’s personality and enthusiasms will we be able to make his or her learning a true adventure.
We celebrate effort, progress and achievement in all areas of school life. We develop in children an awareness of the needs of the wider world. Our children regularly gain places at both grammar and independent schools. Our vast range of clubs and activities enables children to develop their interests outside the classroom. Our pupils have access to many facilities that rival those of the best senior schools. We offer up to six Scholarships for academic and musical excellence to children aged 7+. We offer Assisted Places from age 7+ to able and deserving children from Birmingham and beyond.
- Total Pupils: 626
- Day Fees: £2284 to £4616/term
Scholarships, Bursaries & Fees
We offer Year 3 Academic and Music Scholarships for entry at 7+. In addition Foundation Awards offering assistance with fees are available for Year 3 and Year 4 entry.
A 5% sibling discount is offered to a second sibling and 10% to third and subsequent siblings whilst simultaneously attending the school and with the exception that there is no discount on part-time Nursery places.
Entry to Nursery requires a Stay and Play pre-admission visit and a meeting with the Head of Pre-Prep or other member of the Senior Leadership Team. Please note places fill quickly and parents are advised to ensure their child is registered in the first month after birth to avoid disappointment. Places in Pre-Prep other than Nursery are rare but in such circumstances children attend a taster morning before a place is offered. Entry at 7+ is determined by a selective entrance test, normally held in February each year. Scholarships and bursaries are available. Applications should be made no later than the end of January for entry into Year 3 in the following September.
