Northampton High School is an independent day school for girls aged 2 to 18 located in Hardingstone, Northampton. The school is part of the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST), the UK's largest group of independent girls' schools.

Head Dr May Lee says: 'Some pupils start school knowing what they enjoy and having developed hobbies, passions and interests already. Others are seeking inspiration, ideas and encouragement. Whatever age or stage you are at when you join us, we promise to scatter your educational path with academic extension, competitive sport and sport for fun alongside myriad societies, clubs and activities.'
'We are proud of our strong academic profile and excellent exam results but are keenly aware that these do not come purely from our excellent teaching and aspirational environment. A strong feeling of wellbeing, good mental and physical health and a growth mindset all go hand in hand with academic success. Our Pastoral and Wellbeing team are, therefore, key to the success of our pupils.'

What makes Northampton High different?
Attain asked the school, what makes Northampton High School different – and why should parents consider it?
At Northampton High School, we believe in a complete education that's made for girls and young women.
Everything about our school is carefully considered from our purpose-built site to our inspirational teachers and our first-class pastoral care.
Our school is bursting with spirited students who we encourage to learn without limits.
We're not here to pigeonhole or conform to stereotypes. Instead, we encourage our girls to be curious and independent, resilient and brave; to lead and be individuals whilst recognising the value of collaboration and teamwork.
In doing so, we turn "can we?" into "we can!", unleashing the potential in a generation of girls and young women who can go on and define a future on their own terms.
