St Mary’s Calne students have once again achieved a superb set of GCSE and IGCSE Level results, with 35% of the results graded 9.
The girls all worked incredibly hard and fully deserve their excellent results.
The GCSE results were also very impressive in terms of value being added.
Some pupils achieved three grades higher than expected, an incredible achievement, and testament to both the girls’ dedication and their teachers’ guidance.
Overall, on average pupils achieved over one grade higher than expected.
Head, Dr Felicia Kirk, said: "The girls have, like their peers around the country, faced a particularly challenging couple of years, but they have overcome obstacles and focused on what they would like to achieve, demonstrating incredible resilience along the way.
"I have also been impressed by how they have embraced all of the co-curricular opportunities open to them at St Mary’s, maintaining a healthy balance between their studies and interests beyond the classroom.
"My thanks go to all of the staff, both academic and pastoral, who have supported the girls and enabled them to gain these results.
"I wish all the girls continued success as they move up into St Mary’s Sixth Form."
