On Friday 15th October, students at The Kingsley School were visited by TikTok boyband sensation, ‘Here At Last’, who entertained with live performances and delivered a talk on mental health and online safety.
‘Here At Last’ are currently the biggest UK boyband on TikTok with over 2.5m followers, and recently sold out their first headline UK tour.
All members of the band have had their own issues with cyber bullying and mental health and used this experience to deliver a positive message to pupils from Years 6 to 13.
The band, all known to pupils, delivered two sessions throughout the day, including an opportunity for autographs and an informal Q&A.
Before leaving, the group enjoyed lunch with the Kingsley pupils and were taken on a tour of the school buildings.
All pupils arrived to school in non-uniform for the event and made a donation to Young Minds, one of the Head Girls’ chosen charities for the year.
Mrs Dawn Morgan, Head of Sixth Form and organiser of the event, said: "'Here At Last' were fantastic and extremely effective at getting the pupils engaged with their mental health and cyber bullying messages.
"The students were incredibly excited to welcome the band into the school, who spoke so warmly about the kindness, character and friendliness of all of the Kingsley pupils they had spoken to.
"We are all hoping they will return again soon!"
