St Mary’s School, Cambridge, has received national award recognition for delivering outstanding excellence in the visual arts after winning the ‘Art and Craft’ category in the 2021 Education Business Awards.

St Mary’s School, Cambridge, has received national award recognition for delivering outstanding excellence in the visual arts after winning the ‘Art and Craft’ category in the 2021 Education Business Awards.
The school was announced the winner in a special online ceremony held on Thursday 8th July, which was hosted by TalkRadio presenter Jeff Brazier.
Ms Conroy, Head of Visual Arts at St Mary’s School, said: "I'm delighted and humbled that the exceptional work of our dedicated Arts Teams and our talented students has been recognised at a national level through this prestigious award.
"We have worked tirelessly to make sure that the restrictions imposed by COVID regulations did not hamper our visual arts provision and that the students were able to experience and relish creative opportunities throughout this academic year.
"We will always pursue excellence and celebrate achievements in our community and this award is testament to that commitment."
St Mary’s Headmistress, Charlotte Avery, said: "It is an excellent achievement to win such a highly-regarded accolade over the many entries that were received across the country.
"Our school boasts a varied and balanced curriculum, with creative arts an integral and important aspect of our education ethos.
"Over the past year and a half, adults and children alike have taken great comfort from the arts.
"It’s wonderful to be recognised for our dedication and hard work in this area."
