A dazzling performance of Matilda at The Queen's School
The Queen's School's production of Matilda The Musical JR was performed to sell-out crowds last week. Pupils from Year 7 to 13 have been working flat out since they returned to school in September to bring the show to stage.

It has been a while since students have been able to perform to a live audience, so it was no surprise that The Queen's School's production of Matilda The Musical JR was performed to sell-out crowds last week.
Pupils from Year 7 to 13 have been working flat out since they returned to school in September to bring the show to stage.
Matilda is the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.
Head of Drama Katherine Larder said: "I am always blown away by the level of professionalism and commitment the girls put into our school productions and this year, despite having to navigate disruptions caused by the pandemic, the girls were even more determined to deliver a show like never before, and they certainly delivered.
"Mrs Band and I are so proud of each and every one of the cast, crew and musicians, as well as the staff who helped put the set together and with logistics on the nights, we could not do it without them!
"The feedback from the audience has been overwhelming and I am just so happy we have been able to get back on stage and perform to live audiences again. Long may it continue!"
Head of Music Jeanette Healey said: "What a pleasure it has been to work with such a talented group of musicians as well as the cast.
"Esther, Isabelle and Lucy in Year 13 rehearsed closely with Mrs Broome and I to provide the music for the show and were absolutely brilliant throughout.
"Learning the songs and putting this show together has meant so much to us all in so many ways and it was amazing to see the girls shine once again and the audience enjoying themselves."
One parent commented: "The show was absolutely fantastic, so professional and entertaining.
"My daughter was lucky enough to be in the performance and I genuinely couldn’t believe her confidence, that is solely down to the hard work and dedication of your teachers.
"I almost didn’t recognise the child in front of me. Huge thanks to you all."
