Edgeborough is an IAPS co-educational day and boarding school situated in 50 acres of rolling countryside just outside Farnham, Surrey. Pupils enjoy a broad curriculum and with considerable emphasis being put on developing independence and thinking skills. Places and an increasing number of Scholarships are regularly gained at leading day and public schools in the South of England. The school also enjoys strong reputations in Sport, Music and Drama.
The excellent all round education offered to 350 girls and boys is based upon outstanding teaching, wonderful facilities, space and fun. One of the main strengths is the ‘value added’ input to all children which means that high standards can be achieved by pupils of all abilities. Pupils are prepared for entry both to the local Grammar Schools and to local and National Boarding schools.
The curriculum puts a strong emphasis on the development of learning skills. Languages are also strongly promoted. There is an exciting exchange system with a French language school, where pupils are encouraged to visit frequently. Part of the middle school curriculum is taught in French.
The strong boarding community gives the school its family atmosphere. In addition to weekly boarding, flexi boarding is offered so that girls and boys can enjoy their first experiences of boarding at an early age with their friends. Breakfast and After School care clubs offer logistical help to parents of Day Pupils.
Edgeborough enjoys equally proud records of achievement in sports and in the expressive and performing arts. Scholarships to Senior Schools are frequently awarded for academic work, sports, art, drama music and all round leadership skills.
Day and residential trips both at home and abroad are a regular feature of the school term as is an active, healthy lifestyle. The school’s wonderful facilities include a swimming pool, golf course, floodlit all-weather courts, fully equipped theatre, dance and drama studio, open-air theatre and new sports hall. The grounds also house activity trails, adventure playgrounds and a science conservation pond.
The Headmaster, Chris Davies, welcomes the opportunity to take prospective parents on a personal tour of the school and meet our pupils. Appointments are made on an individual basis at your convenience.
