Heathfield School is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 11 to 18 in Ascot, Berkshire. The school was founded in London in 1882, moving to the beautiful Berkshire location in 1899.
In 2006, Heathfield incorporated St Mary's Wantage onto the Ascot site and in 2015 the school welcomed the first day girls, able to access all the facilities and activities open to boarders.
Headmistress Sarah Wilson says: 'Heathfield is a vibrant, busy and inclusive community where girls thrive. They are inspired to work hard, be kind and discover their own path.'
'Heathfield is a safe place to try new things. Girls learn where their strengths and challenges lay and are enabled to improve on both. We are focused on developing skilled individuals imbued with inner confidence, tenacity, and a passion for life.'
'I have high expectations for the academic outcomes of all our pupils, and they continue their journeys to top universities, art colleges, drama and music schools and career pathways both in the UK and abroad.'

What makes Heathfield different?
Attain asked the school, what makes Heathfield different – and why should parents consider it?
Happy confident girls succeed – that's the simple but powerful philosophy at Heathfield School.
Founded in 1899, Heathfield was in the vanguard of educational establishments advocating the theory that happiness equated with academic success and has always placed high importance on pastoral care accordingly.
In the latest ISI Inspection, the school achieved 'Excellent in all categories'. The inspectors found that: 'pupils are happy, articulate and confident' and that 'pupils grow into young people who make a difference to the world and live their lives boldly'.
Academically, students currently achieve +2.1 grades higher than expected at GCSE and +0.75 higher at A Level.
A fulfilling and enriching programme of co-curricular activities and sport, music and drama ensure Heathfield students enjoy a truly holistic and inspiring education.
Also strong in the arts, Heathfield students are fortunate to benefit from their unique collaboration with Parsons Paris, their Creative Partnership with Falmouth and their close relationship with the world-famous London College of Fashion.
The school has a wide and flexible curriculum but it is about far more than this. Its strength lies in its small size – meaning every girl receives dedicated individual attention instilling a positive, have-a-go attitude alongside self-belief, persistence, confidence and a strong desire to achieve.
